Discussion will include developing a clinical approach to evaluation of potential/existing eating disorders in the elite athlete population. We will also discuss approach to prevention strategies to lower frequency of developing eating disorders and avoid struggles of treatment where possible.
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify the unique differences in eating disorders among elite athletes compared to the general population
2. Explore effective efforts in identifying eating disorders in elite athletes
3. Examine prevention strategies for eating disorders as athletes pursue elite status.
